We hired the 7 Hills Ceilidh Band for our wedding, and their 3 piece were excellent. We had a wide range of... abilities, from those who had barely danced before to seasoned Scottish Country dancers, and everyone had a fantastic time. They did an excellent job of calling, but it was the music that made the evening - they were the best we have heard in a very long time. A fantastic way to celebrate our wedding. We would highly recommend them. And great to have a friendly face on the stage too! Big thanks to Paul and the band who not only did a great job on the night but made the booking easy and were very helpful with a few requests for unusual dances.read more

Communication up to the wedding... was prompt and helpful. Booking & paying was really easy.
Our guests have been raving about the band for weeks after, and they were so grateful for the demonstrations of dances given so that all could join in (as we had quite a few guests from America).
The band on the night were so accommodating that when one of our American guests asked if they could round off with some country music so they could teach other guests the two step - the band just said no problem and obliged! It shows real skill in a musician to be able to take requests like that.

They are incredibly attentive and understand when the room needs a rest or when to keep the dance going! We hired 7 Hills Ceilidh Band for my brother's wedding in September. Sigurd and the band were really accommodating,... friendly and professional. The music was fantastic: we had many guests that were not familiar with ceilidh dancing, but all of them were guided through the dances step by step by the MC and expressed how memorable and unique an experience it was. We had hired 7 Hills Ceilidh Band for our wedding in a few weeks time, however due to current and impending... restrictions we are not able to have dancing at our venue. This is a great disappointment to us as we were so looking forward to it. Sigurd was very understanding when I broke the news to him and he was very flexible whenever I dealt with him, he was very prompt with his responses and he very kindly refunded our deposit. We are looking to have a 1 year wedding anniversary party next year and we truly hope we are able to have a ceilidh then and if we do go ahead with this then I will most definitely be booking 7 Hills Ceilidh Band. We hired the 7 Hills Ceilidh Band to lead a ceilidh for our wedding this summer. Unfortunately, because of the current... situation, we were uncertain what restrictions would be and in the end decided to not have a ceilidh. Sigurd at the band was very helpful, flexible, and understanding/friendly in navigating the restrictions and even refunded our deposit, which made making difficult decisions a lot less stressful. If we are organising another ceilidh in the future, we will definitely give the 7 Hills Ceilidh Band a call!read more

Fabulous sound from their 3... piece led by Duncan who also did an excellent job calling the dances and running through the steps so all could join in. The 7 Hills Ceilidh Band played at our Health in Mind charity fundraiser ball and were utterly brilliant. They were... great value, really easy and flexible to work with, and a LOT of fun. All the guests were commenting on how good the band were: the dances were well-called and the evening was perfectly paced because the band knew just how to read the room to time the dances and wee breaks in between just right. We hired this amazing band for our sons 21st – they were very professional, they were courteous and prompt. The band... arrived at the hall when they said they would, set up efficiently and quickly even providing their own sound system. They played professionally and called the dances with enthusiasm and accuracy. Music was great fun, they put some interesting twists on old favourites without interfering with the basic tune and rhythm ,they appeared to alter the tempo and calling to suit our needs.This meant we could dance to familiar tunes and enjoy a little variation at the same time. Band finished on time and cleared up promptly which was important as we had to be out of the hall on time. I would recommend The 7 hills band as they provide great service plus superb music, and they are not expensive. Seven Hills Ceilidh band played for our wedding ceilidh in June, and they were so fab! All the dances were called,... which meant anyone who wasn't quite sure what they were doing could do a walk through, the music was great, and all set up and communication prior to the wedding was really straightforward.
